Wassup????
I’m Jill Powell and I’m gonna tell you a bit about myself so that you can better understand why I created Move IT for girls and how it can affect your life.
Ok so here’s the deal. Camp Move IT is gonna rock your world!

My background is Broadway and Television. I grew up in the South, 1 of 10 kids with not a chance in the world to make it out of the poverty and ignorance that surrounded me. I knew I was different and that I had a vision for my life. I wanted to be heard, understood and do something great with my life. When I discovered the arts I found my way out of that cycle that had plagued my family and into the possibility of brighter tomorrow. I suddenly had a voice that was dying to be heard by anyone who would listen.

I left home at 13 to go to “High School of Performing Arts” (like the movie “Fame”) and from there my life would never be the same. After graduating, I made my way to Broadway where I was in many musicals and then I was a “Bad Girl” on “As The World Turns” for many years. I still make TV commercials and right now I can be seen in a Smart Balance milk commercial and Gardasil (with my daughter)! Very fun!!! We had a blast. The arts helped me figure out who I was, what were my dreams, what mattered to me and that I mattered to the world! THOSE are the very reasons that I developed this totally rockin’ camp.

It doesn’t matter, at all, if you don’t have a desire to be in the arts. The goal of my camp is NOT your typical arts camp. It’s a camp that’s about YOU! The journey to discover YOU and the best YOU that YOU can be. My camp only uses the different arts, sports and fabulously fun activities to get young girls and teens to dig deep into your hearts, have a blast and know that you matter. Each and every one of you ARE fabulous with something uniquely wonderful to offer the world!

Soooooo……. I hope you will look into all the cool stuff we’re gonna do at camp this summer, choose from a ton of different electives and make your summer like none other before. It’s all brand spankin’ new, you will be the first ever to sleep in your cabins, step onto our beautiful amphitheatre stage, work in the recording studio or any other amazing place on the site. How cool is that? Sign up for one session or both and do different programs in each session. You will, no doubt, have an awesome time.
