The Camp Move IT day is comprised of “Mission Programs” and “Electives”, providing girls with an opportunity to experience new activities and make choices. We believe that the more things we are exposed to in life, the more choices we realize we have. We want the arts to help grow young people and be a tool for self-discovery, creativity, confidence and ultimately, greater self-esteem.

Mission Programs
These are the programs that make your experience at camp a Camp Move IT™ experience! In each program you will use many different art forms to create a project. It is an opportunity to create something wonderful and become exposed to new and different things, all while learning about yourself and other campers. Mission programs take two weeks to accomplish and you will do the two that you select for 50 minutes each day. Below are some examples.
Poetry to Music
In this program you will experience writing, music composition, working in groups, singing, recording and sound design.

The Moment I...
A writing program where you will experience an understanding of your feelings and thoughts. Campers will be given a specific task evoking an emotion that they will write about after completing their activity. Click on the link to read a sample of the personal essays written by one of our campers.
As I See It
A photography program that explores how you see different emotions through a camera lens, as well as photo editing and writing. Campers are given a concept to photograph, manipulate on the computer through different photography programs and create a photograph book.
Dance Esteem
Campers will explore their emotions and deepest feelings through movement. This program uses writing, music, dance, acting and choreography to create a project. The end product is a choreographed piece that the campers have created by using each girl's different abilities and thoughts to tell a story through dance. All levels welcome!

Electives
Electives are activities that the camper can select to try something new or get better at something she really likes. Each elective is taught every day for 50 minutes.
